(IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR RECEIPTS AND DOCUMENTATION: Please ensure that the name on the receipts matches the name of the person who applied, and was approved, for the rebate. Failure to do so, will result in your rebate being denied.)
There are a couple of ways to submit your receipts and required documentation. However, regardless of the method you select, you must submit the required materials to the Rebate Administrator no later than 45 days after you are approved to purchase. Failure to do so will result in your application being canceled so that the funds may be made available to another applicant. Hurry and don’t delay in getting your documentation submitted.
As outlined in the Program Terms and Conditions, you must submit (for each toilet) a copy of your receipt, the UPC or bar code and WaterSense® label from the packaging, and a photo of the toilet installed in your home. Please note that one of these documents must indicate that your new toilet uses 1.28 gallons per flush or less. For dual flush models, the documents must indicate that both flush options use 1.28 gallons per flush or less. If one flush option uses more than 1.28 gallons per flush then it will not qualify for a rebate. If the gallons per flush is not specified, you must include a copy of the specification sheet that comes in the packaging.
Failure to provide all of the required documentation within the 45-day timeframe will result in a cancellation of your rebate application.
Also, please be sure to include your Unique Rebate Number that was provided to you in your approval letter when submitting your required documentation to the Rebate Administrator. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation or delay in issuing your rebate.
As mentioned at the top of this page, when submitting your receipts and other required documentation, the applicants name must appear on the receipt (s) and must be the same name of the person who applied, and was approved, for the rebate. Failure to provide rebate receipts and documentation that have the same name as the pre-approved applicant will result in the rebate being denied. If the applicant’s name is not printed on the sales receipt please handle as follows:
- For applicants planning to purchase toilets at the Home Depot – Toilets MUST BE purchased at the Special Services desk (not in the standard check-out line) where applicants are required to obtain a Special Services Customer Invoice – which should include the applicant’s name and address.
- For toilets purchased at other stores or through contractors/vendors you must request a handwritten receipt from the store/vendor to be provided to you on their letterhead with a signature and printed name of an employee of the store/vendor.
You may submit your required documentation either online or through the U.S. mail.
