The Broward Water Partnership is making it easy for residents and businesses to save Broward County’s limited water resources. Through the GimmeARebate Program, pre-approved applicants can get rebates for up to $100 each for replacing their old, inefficient toilets with WaterSense® certified High-Efficiency Toilets (HET) that use 1.28 gallons per flush or less. WaterSense® dual flush toilets must also use 1.28 gpf or less for both flush options.
We also recommend that your WaterSense® toilet(s) has/have a solids removal rating of at least 800 grams – typically written as MaP 800g on the toilet specifications. (Please note: toilets purchased prior to your application being approved will NOT be eligible for a rebate.)
Single-family, townhouse and condo owners who reside in the home at which they are replacing the toilet(s) may receive up to (2) two rebates per qualifying accountholder.
Property owners, and property managers who are authorized by property owners, of multi-family housing units, not-for-profit agencies, commercial buildings and institutional facilities may receive up to five (5) rebates or may submit a request to receive more.
But that’s not all; low flow showerheads and faucet aerators are being distributed while supplies last. For businesses, we’re providing pre-rinse spray valves.
All of these tools help save water and reduce monthly utility bills. Click on the Incentives button above to learn more about what incentives may be offered in your service area.
Currently, there are 13 Partners offering rebates through this program. They include the water utility areas serviced by the cities of Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Dania Beach, Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hallandale Beach, Lauderhill, Margate, Pembroke Pines, Plantation and Sunrise, and the towns of Davie and Hillsboro Beach. Service areas do not necessarily match municipal boundaries, so it is important to know who your water utility provider is for your home or business.
To find out if rebates are available in your service area, locate your home by clicking on the “Are You Eligible?” button located above and entering your address, or clicking on the “Service Area Map” button located above.
Once you have determined that you are eligible for a rebate, your must read, meet and agree to the Program Terms and Conditions. You will be asked to verify that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions during the application process, so be sure to review the information before applying for a rebate.
Unfortunately, not all applicants will qualify for a rebate. However, whether you qualify or not, switching to a HET makes sense because it saves water, which means it saves money. Over its lifetime, a HET will save you more on your water bills than the cost to buy and install it.
